The Benefits of Laminate Flooring
Wednesday, November 1, 2017
It can be a tough job trying to decide on what flooring to place in your home. It is such an important decision that we tend to go back and forth on what we want to have done.
We’re here to make that decision easier for you! We will list some of the great benefits of laminate flooring so you can decide if this is the right choice for you.
If you are looking for reasonable pricing, then laminate flooring may be the way to go. Traditional hardwood floor prices can be quite the drawback. While laminate may not be exactly what traditional hardwood flooring can bring, you can still get the look and feel with a lower cost.
If you have a house full of kids or perhaps animals that end to make a mess on the floor, then laminate may be the way to go for you. Laminate flooring is easier to clean and maintain. If your daily routine seems to always include some type of floor cleaning, you may thank yourself for this choice.
Are your allergies out of control? Laminate flooring is also a hypoallergenic choice. Carpet tends to trap dust that can cause your allergies to go haywire. By choosing laminate flooring, you may notice that you sneeze and cough less than before!
Style is no issue here as well. If you take a look at our laminate flooring page on our site, you can take a look at some of the great options that we have. We have anywhere from a rustic wood look, to a more modern white flooring.
Before you make your decision, there are some things to consider with laminate flooring:
If you are wanting to replace your bathroom or laundry room flooring, laminate is not always suggested. It is water resists flooring but not waterproof, so areas that may be more prone to water leaks, may not be the rooms for laminate flooring. Although laminate flooring is doable for kitchen flooring, the same risk applies for water damage possibilities.
If the flooring is in a high damage area, laminate may not be the way to go. While it is scratch resistant, if damaged laminate is harder to repair. A better option may be to go with a flooring that is more durable, with a longer lifespan and ability to be repaired more easily.
We hope that we have helped you make a choice on the type of flooring you are looking for. More questions? Don’t sweep them under the rug. Contact Timeless Designs today!
